A road heading from the middle of the Dogo shopping street to the west.
This road is called “Nikitatsu-no-michi”.

In the past this road connected to the sea along the stream.
People who arrived at the harbor took this road to Dogo Onsen.

There is a sake brewery (Sakagura) along the road of Nikitatsu.

It was established in the year after the opening of Dogo Onsen Main Bldg. just over 120 years ago.
Sakabayashi hanging on the eaves side inform us that sake making starts this year too.

This is made by bundling cedar leaves.
It is customary for traditional sake brewery to use Sakabayashi as their signboard.
In Japan, people used cedar wood for a barrel for a long time.
It is said that the scent and the sterilization effect of cedar give a good effect on the maturation of sake.

Where there is a sake brewery, that is where there is good water.
In Feng Shui, the water flowing from the east to the west is called “blue dragon water” and it means good aspects.
