“Ojino-san”

There is a small shrine called “Ojino-san” behind the “Shiin-ken” temple.

A camellia tree stands as if to protect the shrine.
Old five-story pagodas and a stone that seems to be a tombstone are there around the shrine.

According to legend, these are a princess and her guardians who are related to Kono-clan, dominated this part in the Middle Ages.
What kind of stories did they have?
There is no record showing the details, the five-story pagoda which passed through many years has been mossed, the inscriptions of stones have been worn out and can not be read anymore.

“Ojino-san” sits quietly only.
Local people still worship them with due respect.

(Because it is in private property, please make sure not to bother the residents when visiting.)
