“Nakajima-Jinja” is located in the precinct of “YU-Jinja” Kanmuri-yama overlooking Dogo Onsen Main Bldg.

The god enshrined is “田道間守命; tajima-mori-no-mikoto”.
He is a person who comes out in Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and is believed as a god of sweets.

In 1957, confectionery dealers from the four prefectures of Shikoku gathered and requested from Nakajima Shrine in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, and it was established as a Shikoku branch shrine.
The stone pillars that enclose the shrine are engraved with the name of the confectionery company that recommended it.

Japanese sweets craftsmen and pastry chefs come visit to pray for their own technology improvement.

Why do not you visit the shrine after taking a bath?
Your relationship with the delicious sweets must be deepened.
