Cats in Botchan Square

There is a small square opposite Dogo Onsen main building entrance.
The name of the square is Botchan Square.
The dolls imitating the people appeared in Soseki Natsume’s novel “Botchan” are welcoming tourists.

There are shops selling such as ice cream, beer, Jako-ten which is a fry of fish paste in this open space.
Tourists can take a break after taking a bath at Dogo Onsen.

There are also many cats here.

A black and white cat in this picture is one of them.
He was staring around with very carefully.
Apparently he seemed to be evaluating the tourists taking a break in the square.
In a while he began to approach one.

He seemed to find a gentle tourists who would share their Jako-ten.

It’s said the place where cats are located is a prosperous place.
This square is a very lucky place for cats gathering generous tourists.
