Earthenware and stone arrowheads about 3000 years ago have been excavated from the hill on the south side of “Dogo Onsen Main Bldg”, the symbol of this town.

The second ground is historical.
“Nihon-Shoki”, the oldest chronicle in Japan established in 720 records that successive emperors visited “Dogo Onsen”.

In this way, “Dogo Onsen” has long been popular with Japanese people for a long time.
Even now, 1 million people visit here every year and enjoy hot springs.
Travelers from foreign countries are also increasing, and in recent years the number has rised fourfold.
