When you get off Dogo Onsen Station and head towards the shopping area, you can see a big shrine gate at the front and a long stone steps behind of it.
It is the “Isaniwa Jinja”.
This shrine is a venerable one designated as a nationally important cultural property.
It is also called “Dogo Hachiman” or “Yuzuki Hachimangu”.
Autumn festival is held in October.
In the early morning, 6 portable shrines in each district depart from Isaniwa Jinja and 2 portable shrines depart from Yu Jinja.
After gathering in front of Dogo Onsen Station, they perform the “鉢合わせ; Hachi-awase”, crashing into each other.
It is a very close shrine in this town.
I often visit this shrine after the walk.
Actually, the stairs are quite tough, and that number is 135 steps.
It will be good exercise.
When I take a break at the middle of the stairs, I feel something’s gaze.
Looking over there, there is a cat under a shrine dog.
He is staring at here.
“why do you bother to do such a thing?”
He seems to be saying that.
After a while, the cat leave to the back of the forest.
Well, my breath is ready to climb the rest of the stairs.
Thank you for your support, Mr. cat.
